Feel My Vibe Club Remix
A top 10 Dance club hit!
Everyone in the world liked the Spice Girls and I knew a bandwagon when I spotted one.
I pitched an idea to Polygram records about them buying a training tape called GIRL FORCE… pretty much how to be a Spice Girl.

I made up a fictional Girl Band I called Blush. It all went a bit… err, spectacular…
A local school girl, Anna Williamson, was my babysitter and I asked her if she had any friends that could sing. So I was introduced to Alex Rees and Fran Chapman.
I did local newspaper interviews now and then and I said I was looking for young girl singers to be in a girl band. So the paper did a story and I had about 30 entrants… mostly rubbish… however one 16 year old girl came to sing for me and… you just know when they are something special and that was Lyndsey Ollard, 16 and brilliant. Superb tone, range and expression.
So I got the band on the road, wrote the BLUSH songs, produced the cassette which was explaining to girls how to practice singing, how to write songs etc. It was reviewed by the industry magazine who said, “It’s cheesy, nasty and exploiting the Spice Girls fame and it should sell well.” It did. Thousands upon thousands upon thousands of copies, and was nominated for an international Talkies Award and came second.
Lyndsey left Blush as she really was in a different singing class, Alex Rees left and I recruited a new singer Natalie. I handed BLUSH over to Helen Deakin-Davies who got Kim Wilde’s brother, Ricky Wilde, to write and produce a single for them “Feel my vibe” which got to number 10 in the UK dance charts.
I then worked with Lyndsey to position her as an R&B artist concentrating on live events and wrote and produced her songs. The tracks here are from the EP “Cat People” and the songs are:
• “Friends”
• “Dream Messenger”
• “Even if it breaks my heart”
Incidentally, “Even if it breaks my heart” was the first song the R&B star Eva Lazarus ever recorded.
Time moved on and I was inundated with work so I lost touch with Lyndsey and she went on to have a successful live performing career around the world. The photo of her is when she was performing at the Sydney Harbour Australia New Years Eve party event.
There are few artists who can sing this well at 16.
